I was just thinking about getting a good ole greasy cheesesteak sub for lunch and was wondering is there any place at Disney to get one ? the kind like you get at the corner sub shop.

Hi budcollecter!

Liberty Square Marketplace in Magic Kingdom has "The Liberty Square Hot Roast Beef and Swiss Sandwich."

Here is photo- and yes, it is as good as it looks!

Also in Magic Kingdom, Be Our Guest Restaurant has a Grilled Steak Sandwich on the lunch menu, with Garlic Butter Spread and Pommes Frites Quinoa, Shallot, and Chive Salad with Green Beans, Potatoes, Olives, Roasted Bell Peppers, and, Tomatoes.

Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney has a hot roast beef and cheddar, called "The Original 1762." My family and I love Earl of Sandwich!

Don't mean to sound snarky to PP but those are not cheesesteaks.

Have yet to find a real cheesesteak anywhere on property. Plaza has one that looks about as close as you are going to get.

If you have a car you could head over to Miller's Ale House. The original owners are PHL transplants so I would imagine theirs would be passable.

ETA: Totally forgot about ESPN. Had one there, wasn't bad.

MinnieGirl33,

That sounds great! (The one from The Plaza Restaurant)
- Cheese Steak Sandwich - shaved beef, grilled with onions, mushrooms, red peppers, and white American cheese served on a hoagie roll $11.99

I'll have to try it next time. Thanks!

lol we find it hard to find a steak hoagie that isn't smothered in melted cheese:crazy2:, always ask to have it removed.

we do enjoy the plaza version )even though it's not on the crusty roll we prefer)since it isn't served drowning in soupy cheese:thumbsup2 however, it seems to take longer each visit to be seated/served. We've taken it out of our rotation when it's crowded since we don't want to expend so much time on a lunch stop.

Oh yes-here you go, from ESPN Club on The Boardwalk-
Philly Cheesesteak - served with Onions, Peppers, Mushrooms and Cheddar Cheese Sauce $13.49

Thanks again MinnieGirl33, I should've taken my husband there when we stayed at BWV last year!

And here's something different-from The Lunching Pad in Magic Kingdom:
Philly Cheese steak Hot dog - Topped with beef, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese sauce. served with apple slices or chips - $8.99

Try for around 11am- we've been seated fairly quickly when it opens. (And you may get to see the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It parade go by before you go in!)

thanks for all the reply's, i'll have to make a note to stop in t-rex and espn and check out there subs.

Has anyone eaten more than one for comparisons?

We ate the one at the Plaza last trip and were greatly disappointed. The meat was tough, the sandwich was dry and not very flavorful at all.

I love the location of the Plaza, but I am having a tough time convincing my family to give it another try, just b/c of the cheesesteak experience.

We like the ones at the Plaza. Were fresh every time. But, haven't been there in 2 years. Also agree that ESPN's are good also.

As Minniegirl33 says--and from the previous cheesesteak threads I've seen--nothing on property is really like the genuine Philly cheesesteak.

If that is what you are really after, you will likely be disappointed.
