I am going this weekend!!!

i like the cheerleaders alot more than the brazilizan tour groups with the flags! :lmao:

 :scared:  :scared: I am SO glad I am not going this Month! ;) Actually, if you time it right, you will miss them, I did in Feb. :teeth: Pssst...they sleep in late and get to the parks after 9:30am! :thumbsup2

I crossed paths with the cheerleaders on my 40th birthday. Nothing made me feel better than seeing those sweet young things. Not that I have anything against cheerleaders, but I was practically sobbing in my Geritol by the time I came back.

I can't remember the last time I was young, but I am sweet!!! ;)

I like the cheerleaders. But the brazillian girls are the ones that I don't like. :headache:On my last trip there were 7 all together in different colored shirts with different flags at ONCE in the middle of mainstreet usa. :headache:

The cheerleaders were @ the AS's the week before Pres. Day/Dayton Weekend in '05...do they change the dates each year?

Not familiar w/the Brazillian groups...w/o opening up a can of worms :scared: what's up with that group?

They were down there when we were in early February and they were very well behaved.

We encountered no problems at all, but we knew what to avoid.

One day at AK I stopped and asked one of them where they'd be competing the next day (answer was MGM) so we avoided that park and everything was fine!

Uh oh...I'm not touching that one with a ten foot pole! :rotfl:

I don't mind the cheerleaders in the parks. I've never seen any problems. However, they do tend to be a bit noisy at the Allstars. I never plan to stay there again though (and not because of the cheerleaders) so that won't be a problem again.

I'm intrigued now...how about someone posting a link or a "cleaned-up" version of the Brazillian invasion?

My niece will be there! I promise she's very well behaved, though ;)

FWIW, they're staying at CBR.

hi all,
i was there feb 6-feb 15.got to say this is my second feb with the cheer leaders and they don't brother me at all.i would say 99% are respectful and polite and have adults supervision with them at all times.only one thing got on my nerves and i let it be known very quick. On the bus one night from mk back to cbr, there were 2 cheerleaders sitting. me and dw and ds were standing there was really no room on this one bus, anyway a young lady got on with a baby under a year old at least. Not one person on that whole bus got up to let her sit instead making her stand to hold a infant right in front of these 2 cheerleaders,i asked nicely to these 2 cheerleaders if she could please sit and one got right up and let this young lady sit.i have no problem going when the cheerleaders are there.there not as bad as some make them out to be on this board.

there are just all of these brazilian tour groups that always seem to be at wdw everytime im there. they all wear matching clothes and walk in a pack. and there is always a leader with a bright backpack and a giant flag that towers over all of them and they clap and yell things. Last time i was at disney we were waiting for lights motor action show and these three girls from a brazilian group got down in front of the several hundred person crowd and started doing this chant that no one can understand becasue it was in portugeuse and it went on for like 5 min. and no one knew why they did it, but their group was at the very top yelling. it seems like they are in their own little world. this time they all wore matching neon yellow track suits.

my blood pressure jumps 20 points just seeing 'Brazil'. even if I cleaned up my thoughts of those groups I'd still be banned for my language. :)

but we got the phone call tonight that our cheerleader friends from Illiinois arrive in 8 days and we're their tour guides....kill me now.

Thanks for letting me in on the "secret"...so, I've been whining about cheer groups for over a year & there's another great group to rip on:rotfl: ...

I think the cheerleaders are great, can't thank them enough. Just the thing I needed to finally convince DH to buy into DVC (he couldn't stomach the thoughts of another vacation w/the "girls").

In their defense, they seemed polite & well-mannered (but, noisy)...my gripe was their locust-like domination of food court for a lounge area. BTW, we saw no evidence of adult chaperones as they roamed the AS Mo. They were w/adults in the parks.

Blech. I hate the cheerleaders. I try to ignore them, but it's pretty hard when you are in line for a ride and getting "Be aggressive! B-E agressive" shouted in your face.
