Hi
Just wondered if anyone can access the seating plan for my flight in August?? I am booked with CO and they won't give me the ref number to look at seats. They hv put us on two separate rows of three:confused3 when there are 4 of us. I don't like sitting in the middle but as its Niamh's first time and she will just be 5 I wanted us to all sit together. The flight is VS 073 on 22/8 and it's a jumbo and the later flight coming back on the 5. /9 again a 747.
Do you think it's worth ringing VA direct?
I can never get onto online check in 24 hrs before tend to just get there early and do kiosk self service.
I know they are not guaranteed. Wld just like to know if any 4 seats together availible

VA won't do seat allocations on the phone anymore

Once you get your tickets you should be able to log on and change your seats.

Otherwise try checking in online when you can. Depending on how busy the flight is they may lock down and rearrange the seating anyway to get the best fit.

We booked to fly with cooperative travel and wanted to prebook seats and meals so contacted virgin who happily gave us the numbers to go onto their website and prebook meals and seats so may be worth a ring, we done this in feb and are flying out in July x:love:

I cant log in with my ref from complete orlando but called va direct and they added my requests but seat maps are not showing my my flights as after nov 1st

Give va a call and talk to them

I'm on the same flight vs073 from Manchester to Orlando but were flying in june. Once you have received your e-ticket from virgin Atlantic you can log on to the website (virgin Atlantic) and go on manager my booking. Once your on there you can select your seats. Don't worry the rows of four are less popular because everyone wants to be near a window so you'll get a row easy. Plus virgin always ensure family's sit together even if it means moving someone who's already selected there seats.

I know this already but problem is not booked direct with VA like I normally do and wnt get tickets till 2-3 weeks before we go

Thanks everyone else will phone virgin FF club and speak to them.

I didn't book direct with VA, I booked with funway and was having the same problems, but as soon as I'd paid over 3/4 of the hol I got the booking number and was able to select my seats albeit much later than I have done in the past when booking directly with Virgin. All of the seats on our outbound flight were blocked out so it looks like we have been split up, however I'm hoping I can change seats at online checkin.
Last time we went to WDW we got our seats moved at the airport to accomodate a family so I know that they will do their best to seat you together.

I'm the same I booked with Walt Disney travel and I only received my tickets last week 12 days before I go. I reserved my seats as soon as I got my eticket last week.

I thought VA weren't booking seats at the minute?

For flights after nov 1st.
I'm not going to stress over it as I know the fours are less popular and last time we went I had booked 2 x2 on the side and when we got to the airport they had moved us to the row behind PE in the centre.
I will give VA a ring next week and see what they say. Will try online check in though in 6 years have never had any luck it either is busy or crashes half way through. Staying at the premier inn the night before so will get there early if I don't manage to book in advance.

We're going out Sept 28th and returning Oct 8th and we can't book our seats yet as the seatplans are unavailable so I don't understand the flights after 1st Nov date :confused:

Word of caution, Virgin consider you are sitting ‘together’ if one of you is in the seat behind! We are a family of four and I got seated behind my children and wife on a return flight from MCO that was full.:sad1:

I booked our flights on a virgin plane but through continental for our trip coming up in October, I just rang Virgin and they found our reservation by surname flight number and date, they were happy to give me the Virgin Ref.

I then logged on and assigned my seats on the Virgin website, word of warning though, when you enter your details on "manage my booking" you may need to put your first name in with your middle initial, for me Trevor doesn't work, but Trevorp does, this is something to do with how continental book with virgin!

Hope this helps

mine was the same, michele didn't:love: work but michelejoy ( no laughing my mothers fault) did x

I didnt realise that - must be to do with the plane changes. Anyway, hopefully you will be sat together for the flight and manage to get checked in (one way or another!!) :thumbsup2

PE has been blocked for seat requests since 1st April due to the refits.
