Checking out day - luggage??

I know this has probably been answered several times, but I didn't find much on my search.

The day we check out, our flight doesn't leave until 7 p.m. We thought of plenty to do even if we don't go in the parks, but can we have our luggage held at the hotel until our town car comes to pick us up? (staying at CSR, not that that matters)

Yes, the hotel will hold your luggage until your towncar comes. Just call bell services, and they will come to your room and pick it up (some resorts don't even require that you be there when they pick it up now). Just give yourself 10 or 15 minutes before your town car pick up time in case there is a bit of a wait to get the luggage.

Along the same lines. . . when you check in can you just leave your luggage with the front desk so you can head to the parks? Also how do I know who to tip? Thanks.

We check our luggage, and then check in. We then head for the parks. They will give you a # to call to get your room #, and then you are all set. When you get to your room, call and get your luggage brought. I don't know if they will deliver before you get there or not. If they do, you wouldn't be there to tip them.

When checking out, call and they will get your luggage. We have always had to wait for them to come get it, which can take awhile, on a busy morning. My DH, stayed behind, and was late to breakfast. As the previous post said, some resorts don't require you to stay, but I haven't been there since 2003.

I'm curious- If you don't have to wait, how do you get your claim tickets.

Also, If you want to freshen up before leaving, you can stash some clothes and toiletries, in a locker by the pool, and then shower and change, before heading to the airport.

Mady/Sophie's Mom, good point about the claim tickets. I didn't think of that. Maybe they will only deliver when you aren't there. I've never wanted them to pick them up when I'm not there for fear of something being left behind.

CSR has a luggage holding area so when you check out they will take your luggage and put it there and give you a ticket for each bag. Just give yourself extra time when you get back to the hotel when your car picks you up so you can claim your luggage.
