Is there a way to check on the status of my points other than calling dvc? Can I check online somehow? I have not found those people to be very helpful in explaining my point situation at any current time. I understand they get a lot of calls but so what...deal with it...it's their job.

Thanks for the help.:D

Sorry you are having trouble. There is no way to check the status of your points online. You might try sending an email request. Perhaps a written response will help (or at least give you something specific to discuss with MS when you call again).

Good luck!

Currently, there is no place to check your points on-line. DVC may give us this option sometime in the not too distant future. They keep talking about it as a possibility.

You can request a point statement from DVC and they will mail it to you. Be forewarned that it is trick to decipher. It will give you your point history from the beginning including every reservation that was made and cancelled or changed. It is also broken down by contract if you have add-ons.

I would find out what your current point status is and then start fresh. Think of your points as cash and DVC as the bank. You have some responsibility for keeping track of your points just like you keep track of the cash in your checking account. Every time you do something with your points (bank, borrow, reserve, cancel, etc.) figure out in advance what you think your point total should be. At the end of the transaction, review your points and make sure what the CM has as your point status matches what you've got written down.

I believe several people here have written programs to help keep track of points. I haven't used them but I'm sure someone can post a link for you.

It's tricky but it gets easier with time.

I had to do this on Tuesday. It seemed so silly a thing to be battling the phone lines for , but we had a question. I actually ended up having to call back and verify something. I spoke with two separate CM's the first was very friendly, but either very new or incompetent as I had to walk her thru our three contracts and explain what was what. The second was extremely knowledge able , but very short. I knew when trying to call that they had been having problems lately with phones and computers so I just got the info and cut them some slack. Everybody has a bad day.
