Checking Luggage at Port - Questions

We did not purchase Disney Transfers but opted to go with a limo. Is it still possible to check our luggage at the port for a Delta or NW flight?

yes you can. Go to guest services and they can set you up.

Wow! I didn't know you could do that! Can you also check your bags through to the ship if you are not using a DCL transfer? We are renting a car to the port, it would be great to only carry our travel bag!

Are you talking about after the cruise?? Can you take a limo and not DCL transfers and still check your bags with one of the airline checkins at the port??

Well, lately the answer has been a firm NO. DCL used to let you check your bags with the on site airlines but no more....now they require you to purchase DCL transfers in order to use this service.

Double check with DCL....but for the last few months this is how it has been. They have been asking people for their transfer coupon before they will let them in the airline checkin area at the port.

oops sorry for the confusion. You must buy the transfers. My understanding from guest services is you may purchase one way transfers. We sailed Feb 13-17 2005

You can buy one-way transfers (even on the ship)....but not sure if the airport check-in option is good only for the return transfers, or if you could still check bags if you only bought a transfer to get to the port....

That is a grey area for DCL to clarify!!!
