Checking into RPR with an annual pass

Hi -
I booked a room at the Royal Pacific on an Annual Passholder rate. I haven't bought the pass yet but intend to once I get there.

My question is, will I have a problem checking in and settling into the room before I head over to the parks and buy the Annual Pass? Should I buy the AP online before I get there, and if I do, will a printout work? I arrive next week, so there's no time to receive any tickets in the mail.

When I get the AP, I also intend to buy multi-day tickets for my kids with the APH discount, so I have to do that at the gate, right?
Also, if I buy my kids a 3-day pass and we decide to add another day, can we do that on the 4th day and just pay the difference?

I need to buy the Preferred (middle) level AP to get the discount, right?

No need to have the AP at check in. You will need to show it some time during your stay. If you fail to produce it you might be charged rack rate.

I would wait to buy the AP at the gate. This way you can buy the AP and the multi day tickets all at once.

Yes, you can add days to the tickets, just pay the difference.
