Checking into Poly on New Year's Eve???

We've spent the last two New Year's in WDW and have learned quickly how dreadful the traffic to the Magic Kingdom area is on New Year's Eve.

We have a split stay booked and are moving from AKL-Kidani Village to Poly on 12/31. Is there a back way into the Poly that can save us any time or should I just leave me car at AKL for the day and go get it early on 1/1?

I also thought about making an ADR for 'Ohana on 12/30 and paying for valet. I would leave my car in valet overnight and then pick it up the next day when checking in. Is that possible?

Are there any other options I should consider?

We plan to spend the day in EPCOT.

Well, you could take Buena Vista Drive to left onto Bonnet Creek Parkway to left onto Vista Blvd to right onto World Drive to left onto Seven Seas Drive. That will avoid a lot of the traffic on World Drive that is going to the MK parking lot, especially if traffic is at a standstill cause there isn't any parking left.

I'm not sure about the overnight valet. I imagine you'd have to pay for 2 days valet if allowed.

Leaving your car at AKL would work.
