Checking interest: Events/Shows Swap

I was thinking due Nov, 15th, but if everyone prefers after the New Year, I am definitely open to that as well! Was hoping to have 2 groups, 1 Disneyland specific and 1 WDW specific. Unless someone can think of a way that we can co-exist, LOL.

For DL, shows and events would include Fantasmic!, the fireworks, any and all parades, the PoTC red carpet event, ummm anything else I am missing? Could also include Aladdin and Snow White musicals, character dining, Billy Hill shows, I think I might be missing a lot of things, but really I am open to it all.

For WDW, you vets are going to have to help me on the topics for this one, as I have never been. I know they have F!, fireworks also, the marathon, Star Wars weekends, etc.

Let me know what you all think, would really love to get my feet wet in the whole "hosting" thing. You get to plan and make spreadsheets and I looooooooooooooooove that!!!!!! LOL

I am into dinner shows and all. Sounds very interesting to me! Especially since I have never been to WDW, would be a nice view into the going ons there. Ok, so the majority is into a new year deadline. How's about January 15th?

I would wait and do sign ups around October/November for a January due date. Or even better may be to have an early January sign up date for a March due date. I know from Halloween until New Years I'm swamped with familyt stuff so my time on the boards will be less frequent so some people may miss signups.
Any seasoned hostesses out there have any suggestions???

I'll be gone for 16 days in October and 5 days in early November for 2 different trips. Hope I don't miss sign-ups if we do it then. Personally, I agree that it's a little early for sign-ups now since it's more possible to lose people if we do it this early.

I like the idea of doing separate groups for each of the events and shows, too.

Thanks for the tips! I actually came up with my own idea for another swap, in addition to this one. I am kind of bummed we will have to wait until January, but know it is for the best, LOL!
