Checking in when driving. Do I have to stop with ID?

If I have completed advanced checkin and have a car do I have to stop and show my ID the first time, or can I use the gate where I just use my magic band?

Couple years ago, tried to skip gate at checkin at BWV, and MB didn't work in the other lane, so we've always just continued now stop at gate on our first time there (edited to add, and we do have to show ID.) And we always do online checkin.

Nope, advanced check-in and your MagicBand should get you right through. Unless something's changed recently, you shouldn't need to stop for ID at the gate if you've already done the online check-in.

Agree with Fangorn. You're not 'there' until the guardshack says you're there the first time. Both times this week, I've gotten a message within seconds after checking in with the guard that our room wasn't ready yet.

We’ve done many trips post-covid and that first drive through the guard gate they want to see your ID. After that it won’t be needed until the next time you check-in somewhere else.

You would think that they would switch to a biometric systems like they are doing at airports to verify identity. IDs really aren't that secure.
