checking in @ the Polynesian

Ok, so this may sound like a dumb question (again) but....
Yourride is picking us up at MCO and will be driving us to the Polynesian.

Now, I know there are guards/gates at the entrances of the resorts and you have to show your ID if you're visiting... My question is, do WE have to stop at the gate and show our ID's before we check in or is the towncar just allowed to go through and take us to the GCH for check in? Do the guards have us on a list of guests coming in that day??

Am I making any sense? Thanks for everyone's help!!

When we took Tiffany there in July, we had to show our confirmation sheet to get through. I dont think we needed ID too. If I remember correctly that was only when we got to Port Canaveral.

They do have a list of people checking in or you can show them your reservation form. They do also ask for picture id these days.

I'm going to pick my package up from the TA on Monday, 11/11, and will be adding it to my vacation research & notebook. And I have my license with me--ready for everything!! I can't even remember the last time I had to take my license out of my wallet... I guess it will get a workout on this vacation.

We just took Yourride last Saturday to the Polynesian and the front gate security guard asked for our names and checked his sheet and then let us inside. He didn't ask for our IDs.

you'll have to let us know how your vacation is when you get back.... I'm still pouring over Tikiman's pages, but I'm leaning towards asking for Tahiti... how's that longhouse seem? Are you near it at all?

We are staying at the Poly for the first time in January and have requested the Tahiti Longhouse.

Let us know how your trip went especially if you stay in Tahiti.

We just got back yesterday. We used Tiffany, all the driver did was show his ID, we didn't give our name or anything.

How long did it take you to check in? We're arriving at MCO around 10:25 am and I'm thinking we'll get to the resort by 12-12:30ish at the latest (I'm planning on a quick grocery stop--just for bottled water and a few breakfast snacks).

I'm leaning towards requesting Tahiti first then Tokelau as my 2nd choice.. Which longhouse did you stay in??

Sorry for all the questions,,,, I'm getting VERY excited about our trip... it's getting SO close!! I'm going to be bouncing off the walls the few days before!!
