Can I check in a double umbrella stroller? Will ME deliver it to our resort. Do I have to do something special to check it? Trying to decide whether to bring our stroller or rent one there. I have a 4 and 5 year old and I am sure we will need it in the July heat!

When we bring a stroller (a single one in this case) we keep it with us and check it at the gate. I don't have any experience checking a stroller as luggage and having DME deliver it.

Keep in mind that your luggage will not arrive at your resort at the same time you will, so if you need your stroller when you arrive so you can go to a park (and in my opinion, you will), you may just want to gate-check it.

We are going this summer and while we have essentially stopped using a stroller with my 5 year old around home, we are definitely taking the stroller with us to WDW.

Call DME and see what they say for you to do with the stroller. I would think as long as it has one of the special DME luggage tags attached to it, DME will deliver it to your resort. But, call and see first.

Also, as others have said, if you're going to need the stroller the minute you get to your resort, gate check it.

Your other option is to rent from Orlando Stroller Rentals so you can avoid having to drag your own stroller if you're not going to use it at the airport.

Good luck!
