Okay, here's our plan. Let us know if this will work or not.

No tickets, just a room at POFQ. We'd like to check in very early, around 8 AM, and then head over to EPCOT for the day. Our plan is to drive over to EPCOT, and come back after the park closes that night. But we only want to do this if we get free parking, and that's why we want to check in that early.

Will it work? If we don't get free parking doing things that way, we'll have to rethink this. We just really don't like the bus system since it seems to take forever if you close the parks at night.

I'm pretty sure it will work, but just wanted to check with the "experts." :)

One other thing, will it be difficult for my brother, who is an Orlando resident, to come and visit us at the resort? I know the security kiosk checks to see if you have a room there, but he's planning on coming in to see us while we're at the World.

No problem, once you check in they will give you a parking permit which will allow you free parking at the parks.

Your brother only has to tell the security guard at the gate that he is meeting you, giving your name, and he should pass him through. That would be once you are checked in so your name is on file.

If there is a room ready at that early time they will check you into a room but if there isn't they will still give you a parking pass but do remember to go back to the front desk to check what room they assigned you after being in the park all day.As answered before your brother will have no problem getting to see you at the resort. :thumbsup2
