I believe you can now check in online at a Disney hotel a few days before you go. Is this correct & if so where do u do the check in, is it on the disney site?

You can but you will need a Disney reference number and I am not sure if you can if you have booked with anyone other than Disney US.

If you do it - it is upto 10 days in advance of your arrival.

Ooh interesting. Do you think you'd be able to make you room request at the same time instead of ringing or faxing?

Yep that correct i think, i booked via the UK site then called the US call centre who gave me our US Disney ref number so we can do this....

Whats the advantage of doing this?

I booked with Virgin but I do have my disney number.

They print out your room keys and get your welcome pack sorted out prior to your arrival. When you arrive, you skip the regular check-in line (there is a dedicated on-line check-in line) and simply collect your pack.

However, some DIS members on the Resorts Board have reported online check-in to not be so great if you have room requests, since there is nowhere to enter your requests and any requests you may have had added to your reservation don't seem to be considered.

The only 'requests' available when I did OLCI for Saratoga Springs were: Ground floor or near transportation. If you were hoping to be able to request a specific room, or even a specific building then forget it.

Thanks for the info.

I think I will just wait until we get there and see what room they give us.

I just called the US number, took flaming ages to get through, only to be told that she couldn't help me. She didn't seem to understand what i wanted. I told her that I had booked through the UK Disney site and she first said that there was no booking in my name. She then said that I must have booked through a travel agent, I told her that I hadn't and it was definitely the Disneysite, she then said that I might have thought it was a disney site but it probably wasn't:confused3

So I'm getting really ticked off, I tell her that I have the invoice in front of me, from Disney and that I'm all paid up etc. She says that she can see something on her system with the original res number I gave her, but the address doesn't match mine. So I tell her it must do because the invoice was sent to my address and paid for with the credit card registered to my address. She goes back to telling me that I haven't booked through Disney but through a travel agent and because of this she cannot give me any information :furious:

So any ideas of how I can get my Disney reservation number????

I got my number when I booked my ADRs, I just asked for it. The CM had to look up my reservation using place, date of stay and name. She didn't have my home address because when I needed to leave a credit card no. for Fantasmic dinner package she asked for it.

I've not used it for online check in (I'm not sure if I will as we want interconnecting rooms.)

I'd love to know how they're system works....I booked all sorts of things and given my home address about a hundred times. I phoned last week to book Spirit of Aloha and apparently my home address is in California....!! :confused3
