FINALLY It's almost time for vacation!! We are so excited!!

We are flying into MCO and our plane lands about 9am....renting a car and heading out. Where is the easiest grocery store between MCO and WDW? Walmart or Publix...whatever is down there. Supposeing we get to the Ft around 10am...what are the chances our cabin will be available that early?

So dang ready for vacation! Come on December Movie schedule!

We were at the fort the week before Thanksgiving. 3/4 of the cabins looked like they hadn't been used in months. I would certainly check in ASAP. Chances are you'll get into your cabin quickly.

Not exactly sure which route you'll be coming in from MCO, but if you get off I4 at the DTD exit, go straight past the WDW entrance on the left (Crossroads on right), straight thru next light @ Palm Pkwy, and 1/2 mile or so up the road on the right will be a nice Winn Dixie supermarket. We went there a few times this trip - nice store, reasonable prices. (don't shop at Goodings @ Crossroads )

Coming back you can enter at the DTD entrance and follow the signs to FW - no need to get back on the highway.

There is a nice Super Walmart with groceries on 535, about 10 minutes drive to the Fort.

Exit I-4 at 535 Apopka Vineland Rd., go South.

You will PASS 536/World Center Drive and FL toll 417, these are red light intersections.

The next red light is Polynesian Isles Blvd. The Walmart is just on the right past this light.

To get back to the Fort, exit back onto 535/Apopka-Vineland at Polynesian Isles Blvd. Go North on 535 and turn left at the second light onto 536/World Center Drive. The signs say "to Disney World". It is very easy.

Stay to the right as you enter the MK gate, and tell the attendant you have a ressie for the Fort.

The very first street past the gate is Vista, turn Right and follow the sign to Fort Wilderness.

Super easy, we did it twice.

If your plan lands at 9, you can expect to arrive at the fort closer to noon, by the time you claim your bags, get your car, drive the tollroad and hit walmart.
