Checking in early

We are staying at ASMu and check in is not until 4:00. We plan on arriving around 12:00 and spending some time in DTD, but for obvious reasons don't want to leave all of our luggage in our vehicle.

I've read on previous posts that you can arrive at your resort early and pass off your luggage to them, etc. What exactly are the procedures for this and do the CM's at the resort seem to mind doing this early?

Also, at that time do you also have access to the pool, refillable mugs,, etc. or do you have to wait until 4:00.

I'm sorry if these are dumb questions, but am looking forward to some answers to explain the procedure.

Yes, you can check in when you get there and you have access to the food courts, pools, etc. We have checked in as early as 8 am before. Bell services will just store your luggage. They will give you a phone number to call to see if your room is ready and then they tell you your room number.

Just make sure you grab what you need out of your cases--swimsuits, sunscreen, or if you go to the parks while you wait your passes, fanny pack etc.
You might luck out if you don't check in until 12. We checked in at the Poly a little after 1 last December and our room was ready.

you can check your bags with the bell hop service usually right in front of the main hall(melody hall), they will give you a Phone number to call to check if your room is ready, just check it periodically through a resort phone. sometimes(not guaranteed) the room can be ready before 4PM. You can use everything at the resort after you are done checking in.

Just to add to the good advice, the earlier you check in, the better chance you have of getting the room location you want. You can use all of the amenities of the hotel and parks from the minute you check in. (You can even go on to the parks if you wish). My advice is to pack a seperate "arrival" bag with things you may need to get to without going through all of your bags.

I always write this request in my Fax before I arrive....early check in! I arrive at 1:00pm and ALWAYS get my room than. However, I always go during slow times, hoping I can check In early in June when I go!
