Checking in early at HHI

Hi, getting ready to go to HHI in 19 days and had a question. We are going to spend Sat nite at HH, maybe a Red Roof inn, or similar, and leaving at 9-10am and go to the Disney resort. My question is: I know I can't check in that early, but was wondering if we could 'use the resort' while we are waiting. We have never been to Disney HH that early, we usually get in at 3-4pm, and check in.

Any thoughts on this?

Hi! I would absolutely check in early! The CM's will go ahead and check you in and give you room keys, even if your room isn't ready. That way you can go ahead and enjoy the resort. We always do this. We go ahead and rent our bikes, and usually have our bathing suits handy so we can swim if we want. The resort provides towels so you will be ok if you don't have any. Usually they are in your villa, but I imagine if you tell them you have just checked in and your villa isn't ready they will be happy to give you some. You will love HHI!!

I was wondering if we could 'use the facilities' or not... That sounds like a plan... Now, just trying to figure out where to stay for the 1 nite in/around HHI....

We were just there in April! Loved it! We were able to check in early, around 11am! She also gave us a map of the property and let us pick which room we wanted that was available! Have a wonderful time. From what I understand, most people check in on Sunday because Saturday night points are SO high, so there is more availabilty to check in early on Sundays! I could be wrong but that is what I heard when we were there!

We were able to check in at 9:30 one morning (we'd stayed down the road the night before, and were soo anxious to get over there). We were able to partake in the scheduled resort activities that morning.

We also checked in at 9:00 last September-had our suits on and was sitting on the beach by 10:00!

We always stay Sat. night on the island at the Hampton Inn and then wake up and check in at Disney by 8:00 or 9:00 am. We know the room won't be ready but we just want access to the beach house and pool. Yes, as soon as you are checked in you will be given a key to get into the beach house. We love doing this as it gives us a whole day of fun and play. Our room is usually ready by early afternoon. Have fun!
