Team Disney...I'm looking for some advice. We are booked at the Poly but are traveling on a late flight out of NJ with arrival in MCO at 12:15AM. I put as at the hotel about 2AM (maybe). Should I check into the Poly online before departing home to ensure my room and a room request I made for the Tahiti longhouse?

They call it on-line check in, but you really aren't checking in. You still have to go to the front desk to get your paperwork, give them your credit card and get your KTTW.

If you didn't have your request on your reservation already, do it online. But remember, it's just a request and not a guarantee.

What Deb & Bill said!

Also - did you book a room for the night you arrive at 2am? If you didn't you won't have one until much later. The system "rolls over" between 6-7am, you can check-in then for arrivals that day, but rooms generally aren't ready until 3pm. If you did pay for the 1st night "technically booking the date before you arrive" then it will be ready & waiting. The front desk is staffed 24/7.

Yes Judy I paid for the first night already. So if I understand correctly, as long as I have a room reserved for the night of our arrival they are going to have a room for us 'some where'.

Yes, that's true, you will have a room. You can certainly do online check-in if you'd like, but it's not necessary to ensure that you will have a room. You will be able to enter an estimated arrival time when you do online check-in, so if it makes you more comfortable to inform the resort that you'll be arriving late, that'd be the way to do it.

I would do online check-in so that they know your arrival time and have your paperwork ready.
