Has anyone that is traveling with adults made it without a bag or fanny pack? I wondered if this would be worth it to avoid having to stand in line to have your bag checked. I'm assuming your camera would have to be out of the case to bypass this line. Has anyone tried this? I'm so used to traveling with my kids that I can't imagine not having a bag or fanny pack. If we go on a short adult only trip...we were thinking it might save some time.

The lines are inconsequential. I've never had to wait more than 2 minutes. Usually, if we are very early or at least a couple of hours after opening we walk right up to the security guard. I've never seen long lines and they move very quickly.

If you don't want to carry a bag because you don't want to be bothered that is another story but ease your mind about the check. They have never been a nuisance.

Enjoy your trip!

the security check lines move very fast and I have not "dared" to travel without my backpack! My DD(12) likes to stand in line with me to get her small purse checked too.

It still makes me sad to go through these lines, but it's not a hassle.

Yes if you have a camera in a case you do have to get in the line too...We never had a problem and the security guards are very nice and respectful of peoples things too. Bring what you need and do not worry, you will get through the line fast.....::yes::

The security check lines really do not take long. I think you would be fine either way. We had a group of nine people and one of my boys always ended up without a bag. They would scoot through the line for those without a bag and only waited a minute or two for the rest of us to get through with bags. :)

Thanks for the replies. It's always great to get some response to some of my "bright" ideas!!

I wouldn't leave essential things behind just in fear of the security lines. I went last July when it was packed and never waited more than a minute or two... TOTALLY worth the wait to ensure you have the things you need with you!
