Checking availability

Hi everyone, the pain is back! As most of you know, I am renting points from a friend for the first week in December. We currently have a one bedroom at OKW reserved, but I'm hoping to change to either BCV, BWV or VWL. Our seven month mark is May 5. Should she start calling on May 1 and try for a day by day reservation or just wait until May 5 for the entire reservation? Since May 3 & 4 are the weekend, I don't know if it's a waste of time to bother with two days, then have to call on the 5th for the rest of our stay. Thanks!

One more thing...can you be on the waitlist for more than one resort?

I would say to call on May 1 and ask what availability looks like for all your dates, they will be able to look it up. You don't want to switch over your first night and then not be able to get the rest. I did this once when making a 7 month reservation at OKW, I called the first day and asked what it looked like, they said they had plenty of availability so I could wait until 7 months from my checkout day.

You can be on the waiting list for more than one resort at a time. We are currently on the waiting list for VWL, BWV and BCV for July 4. We have a reservation at OKW, but due to canceling a studio on the 5th at BCV and to keep the point total the same, we really want a studio at any of the other DVC resorts. The CM even noted that we preferred VWL since we have another studio reserved there on the 4th. Just let MS know in what order you would like the resorts so if something opens up at more than one they know where you really want to go.
