Checked Baggage Question

We are flying Jetblue for our next trip to WDW in August. In the past I have always put all my shampoos etc. in our check baggage and never had a problem. However this time my teenage DS is into styling his hair and uses aerosol hairspray. I am planning on bring the smallest bottle I can find and putting it inside my checked baggage of course enclosed in a ziploc bag. My question is has anyone ever done this and had it explode? I don't want to run the risk of damaging our clothes etc. Is it possible to buy aerosol hairspray at the resorts? We are staying for the first time at AKL. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I take aerosol cans of sunscreen all the time. As you have said, I do put all my liquids etc. in a ziplock bag just in case but I've never had an issue. His hairspray will make it!!!

I do it all the time and have never had an issue. That being said, I do put it in 2 plastic bags just in case.
