Checked Bag Fees

WestJet just added Baggage Fees for checked baggage ($25 per bag each direction). Applies to reservations made Sept 15 or later for travel after October 29,2014. The fees won't apply to you if you already have reservations or are traveling before October 29.

That being said flights I purchased back in the spring for December travel are now approx. $50 less than they were when I made my reservations

That's too bad! I like flying on WestJet now they are on par with Air Canada. All it does is create more carry on, and congestion when boarding the plane.
