Just back from a quick 3-day stay at Pop Century. On our last night (8/28), there was a big computer "problem" with the entire system which caused a lockout to room charging, other problems with credit card charging, etc. that ruined the end of the PPParty for us. (Feel free to pay with cash....)
Because I've never previously encountered problems with my bill at checkout and because we were rushed on the morning of 8/29 to get to our CP breakfast, I didn't check the bill til lunchtime.
What do I find but 2 charges for the same ticket upgrade - one on our first day when I did the upgrade and one on the last night with the computer problem!!
So, back to Pop we have to go so that this gets straightened out, meaning we will miss our last hopping afternoon and I don't have time to wait at Photopass (again) so I can't use my voucher, and that time is getting tighter to get to the airport. (OK, I plan tight schedules. I admit it. DD is fine with it.) I get a runaround from the registration CM after standing in line for 20 minutes and ask to speak to the manager. He 'eventually' comes out (10 minutes later) and treats this as if it were nothing. $ 320. worth of nothing, including my wasted time. I should just wait and it will all sort itself out in a couple of days (on my credit card time of course). Oh, and if this is a problem -- well, here is the card for Guest Communications, why don't you contact them?
No apology, no nothing. I was as polite as I could be and still nothing. Yes, I am writing to Guest Communications and the Pop manager (Bruce from Duncan, Ont.) is going to be mentioned by name.
Moral -- check your bill first thing in the morning, especially if there's been computer problems the night before.
