I check on our flights every single day because of the changes and our 10 month grandson is on a separate ticket and was already changed to a seat without any family members.

I called at 7:00 a.m. because we now had a five hour lay over in Atlanta. That was our only option to Dayton, OH except for 6:00 a.m. on July 19th.

She did offer to fly us home to Cincinnati but our cars would be in Dayton. She told me I had to take what they had or get a refund and fly with a different airline.

We are paying 189.50 for our tickets; I was not getting a refund and starting from scratch. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said "hold on." She came back on and asked if we could fly both ways through Cincinnati, I said yes.

She gave us seats but when I went on-line some of the seats were different (there is nine of us.) I called and another agent said not to pay attention to what the on-line itinerary said, should I believe her? I don't want to be a pest

DW and I made reservations in May, 2001 (prior to 9/11) for a flight to WDW in January, 2002. Needless to say, our itinerary was changed a couple of times. When it was changed to a time that was not agreeable to us, I called Delta and spoke to a very nice agent (unfortunately, I did not write down her name). As she was changing the reservations to flights that agreed with my requests (departure/arrival times), I casually mentioned the fact that I thought I would be confused with all of the changes on my itinerary. She said she would "clean it up" and said that after we finished our conversation, I could "log out" of the Delta website, "Log In" and it would be fine. She told the truth.
:teeth:

Bottom line, if the Delta agent with whom you discuss your concerns will not assist you (with the itinerary), ask to speak to a supervisor who will. Good Luck!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Since you have this 10 month old on a seperate reservation you need to be sure to check in early! Delta could move a single passanger to help a family all sit together and YOUR single passanger could be picked!

Thanks, I would never have throught of that. We were not planning on getting a seat for Nathan until we read the boards and decided it was worth the 106.00 to have him in his car seat.

Since there are nine of you, I wouldn't worry too much about Delta "stranding" the baby in a separate seat. Surely there is at least one person in your party who could sit in the seat assigned to the baby so that the baby could be near his mother or father.

I absolutely understand why you all want to be together (I would, too), but given your situation/ability to rearrange yourselves, I certainly wouldn't worry a lot about it. And I wouldn't want to spend even more time than is already recommended to get through security at the airport, especially with young children.

My advice is to consider checking in for your flight online from home. Believe Delta now offers that service. Once your boarding passes are printed, it is very, very unlikely that Delta will change your seat assignments.

Enjoy the trip!

P.S. I think you were very wise to purchase a seat for the baby. In my experience, the little ones are much more comfortable in their own familar car seats than they are on a parent's lap for 2 or 3 hours. It'a also much safer if you run into any turbulence!

check my itinerary online? Is there a place to enter my confirmation number? Ticket number? I can't figure it out

Winter...........Are you a skymiles member? You need that member # to get your iteninary info.

i have a skymiles number now but I didn't when I made my reservations

Call Delta and be sure that they have your Skymiles number attached to your reservation.

Once that is done, you can even check in on-line. Every person needs their own Skymiles number but we have the same password for each of our family members.

I have been watching my flight every day for weeks and today they changed everything. My $205 RT just became a $489 flight on Song. aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaa

I knew I should have booked last week, but DF wanted to wait.

Nathan's Grandma I would call Delta back and go over the info again. What they tell you should be reflected on line within 2 or 3 minutes of the change. If the seats show available on line, it is up for grabs. Keep calling untill someone spends the correct amount of time to fix it.

Thanks DVC Guy! They still were telling me that they had them in their computer so what I did today is go in our confirmations and choose most of our seating arrangements over. My DH thinks I am becoming obsessive with looking at them.
