I think the protest was about pay, there was quite a bit of that going on last summer.

working conditions.... although not discussed in the clip, part of it went into detail about makeup as Disney did not allow CMs to wear bright lipstick or eyeliner until recently. But they also had more challenges about working conditions in general than just makeup!
