Check-out time extension

In Sept we are staying at the ASMU. I realize check-out time is 11:00 but if we have a breakfast reservation that morning at one of the parks will they let me extend my check-out time for later? Will they charge me extra for doing so? TIA

They *may* extend it for one hour, depending on how busy they are. If it were me, I'd have everything packed and just leave my bags with bell services. If you are flying that day, you can check them as early as you want that day. You'd just have to check your carry on's. I'm believe bell services has a cage or like for computers, etc. I always put a lock on carryon's when I fly anyhow.

When you return, just retrieve your bags and off you go!

They will sometimes allow an extension to 1:00 for no charge. After that, you have to pay. You have to contact housekeeping that morning to see if it's available, it depends on how many check-ins they have.

In our experience, late check-out is rarely granted. The rooms are usually booked.

We have asked for late check out (1pm) on several occasions and have always gotten it. I'd expect your chances in September are pretty good.


Two additional hours can make a big difference in your morning plans.

Friends of ours asked for a late check out at POFQ last April. They paid $50 and I think they were allowed to check out by 3?

Last June we had a late flight 7pm out and were going to spend the day at Cheif Mickey's and MK. The resort said if we needed our carry on then leave with bell service and anything we needed in those bags and then tag the rest for bell to send to the air port. After our last fun day we returned to the resort, collected our carry on's then we all freshened up in the public rest room and took ME to the air port. We did not want to keep the room because it would put us on a schedule and we wanted the day to be open for changes. Yes we got home at 2am but that late flight added one full day to our vacation.
