i think this may make alot of you very happy! i was checking expeida for a hotel and am on a very tight budget with my trip so this does not help me but i will share what i found!

Expedia is showing room only rates but it says it is the winter dream maker rate. maybe i am wrong and there is a catch but i looked and looked before posting this. So if i am getting anyone excited for no reason i am very sorry.
it only showed reduced rates at the deluxes!
my dates for early dec. for 2 adults

Ak $119
WL $134
poly $179 gv
GF $223
CR $ 164
YC $179
BW $179
Ft.W $144
BC $203
OKW studio $164, 1 bed $224
those are the only ones that come up with my dates and i had 2 adults listed and for example on the Poly once i clicked on the "book it" it gave me an option of water view for $50 more. !
if there is no catch these seem like great rates to me for a deluxe resort i would like to use them but need a mod. or value for this trip! good luck!!

Hate to burst bubbles, but after you say book it, and go to the next page, it adds on UPH passes. I checked it out for AKL and it went from 1400.00 to over 2800.00. That's where the catch is. Sorry:(

I also just checked, and it does automatically add on passes when you get to the next screen. These are good rates for hotel, usuallya 30 - 40% savings off rack rates, but you do get charged the full price for admission.

I would advise everyone to look carefully at these. There are still dates in early February that are allowing you to book room only, with no tickets added on.

Just be careful and make sure you read exactly what it says on the next page.

well, deep down i knew there HAD to be a catch! but it wasn't going to work for me anyway. I just thought that i had found something for all of those waiting for some good room only rates. i really thought that it was doing it room only. sorry!

I just tried Feb. 2-5, and I don't see anywhere where it lets you uncheck that box to take off the tickets or anything. I guess they must have closed the loophole by now. I bet a few people got a good deal while they were updating the web site.

After some clicking around, I see where if you hit cancel on the payment screen, then it takes you to an itinerary page, where there is an option to take off the tickets, but unfortunately if you take them off, then when you try to go and reserve it again it adds them back on. Looks like they've probably closed the loophole, unless everybody was talking about something different.

If you do it for 9 nights (for example, 3 Feb - 11 Feb), it will book without adding on the tickets. I think it must be some glitch with longer stays.

So, if someone is staying for more than 8 days during that time period, it might be worth it to try again.

When I check Expedia.com for my travel dates of 2-11-04 till 2-21-04 it tells no prices for those dates.

From what I understand, the Dream Maker package is only available thru Feb. 11. I also tried for later in Feb but no deal. :(

Yes, but as long as you check on or before 2-11-04 you still get the discount. :smooth:

I was able to get it...2/3 through 2/12. It seems people trying for more than 7 days seem to be able to get the room-only. It did not add the UPH's onto mine, it wasn't even an option that I could choose...just not on the page. Here's the link to the thread if you're interested. Someone called both disney and expedia but got conflicting info: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=425082

I originally tried to book 8 nights which tacked on the UPH for
Feb 6-15, then I saw someone's post that it worked with 9 nights. Ok'd it with my dh and decided it was worth it to upgrade from our original reservation at a moderate to WL for the $134 rate. If you can go beginning of February, it looks like it works for those dates and I just checked and more hotels have been added. Expedia says they will be honored! They told me I'm a valued customer and I don't think they would do anything to jeapardize that. They change their dates/hotels/rates all of the time, maybe it will change again? Good luck!

dparksfan -- thanks for posting again! I forgot your username when I posted above and was being too lazy to go back to the other thread and look it up!
I'm glad you were able to get a deal, too! We also were considering a moderate (were actually booked at POFQ before they closed) and I was quite happy to get AKL at this rate.
