Check Out Late Flight ?

Forgive me if this is not the place to ask, or if this is a silly question, but I have only flown to WDW twice, and never left late. If we have a later flight leaving on our departure day, and would like to spend some time at Disney Springs before going to the airport, will they keep our carry on luggage for us at the front desk, and we can pick it up before we catch Magical Express, or will we need to pull our carry on luggage with us when we visit Disney Springs?

They will definitely hold it at Bell services for you. Just make sure to get back in time to grab them before your DME comes. There can be quite a line sometimes.

We leave late every trip. Get any checked luggage to the RAC at least 4 hours before your flight ( or before they close). Then, any carry on luggage leave with bell services. We do this if we are heading to a park or DS or if we are just spending the day at the pool.

We usually leave on the last flight of the night for home (generally the flight is between 8-9PM). We check our checked bags at the resort airline check in desk in the morning, and then we leave our carryons with bell services for the day while we go to the park. About an hour and half before our ME time, we return to the resort and get our carry on bags, then we get on ME. There's no need to drag your carryons around DS or a park all day.

Make sure you allow plenty of time to return to your resort from Disney Springs.
Hoping things have changed, but it was sometimes a very long wait for the resort bus!

Additional Question: If I have a very early flight (7:10 a.m.) am I out of luck for using RAC? The WDW blurb says you can't check in later than three hours before your flight so I can't do it the day of travel since they don't open until 5 a.m.--will they let me check it in the day BEFORE?

No you can’t check in the day before. You will have to take it to the airport with you.
