I know the official checkin time at the Disney Resorts is 3:00 p.m. but what is the earliest you can checkin even if your room is not ready? Also, can you leave your bags with bell services, go to the parks and pickup your bags when your room is ready? We are doing a whirlwind trip with only 2 days at Pop Century and we will arriving around 9:00 a.m. I cannot believe our room will be ready but we would like to leave our bags and get to the parks to use as much of our day as possible. Has anyone had experience with this situation? Thanks in advance for any advice.

We arrived at our resort (POR) just before noon and were able to check-in and our room was ready.

sure you can check in early. we resort hopped during our christmas trip and wanted to be at the park early. i had our lugguage picked up and arrived at our 2nd resort at 9-9:30 AM. they happily checked us in and switched our remaining park tickets over to our keys. there were lots of people ready to help that time of morning.

Yes, you can check in early. They will hold your luggage for you and you can go off to the parks and get your luggage later. We arrived about 11 am on our last trip and thats what we did.:)

I have checked in as early as 7:00 with no issues. I have checked in many times at 9:00 or earlier and on several of those occasions, our room has been ready. If not, you can easily store your bags and go off to the parks.

You can check in at anytime but your room usually won't be ready until later in the afternoon.

We usually take the same flight every year, so we check into CBR around 10:00am or so, and we've been lucky on a few times they've had our room ready! That doesnt happen very often, most of the time we leave our luggage in the rental car and go to the parks.

We've had hit and miss with this....in most cases the room has been ready. But not all the time. They will though keep your luggage for you and you'll be able to head to the parks. We have done this many times. Just depends on how busy the particular resort is and how early you arrive. We have never had any real problems checking in anytime after 1pm.

I've found that if I tell CRO that I'll be arriving early that morning, my room has been ready about 90% of the time. :thumbsup2

How about the reverse - check out early morning and have them hold your bags for one last whirl at MK?

Yes, you can 'check in' early, however your room may not be available...what we always do....IF we have tickets to the park that day...we go up, check in and leave the bags, they will hold them for you...and at some places, bring them to your room before you get back.

If you get there early and are not scheduled to visit the parks until the next day...we pack a seperate 'day' bag ...leave our luggage at the desk, change into bathing suits and hang by the pool, have lunch etc...until the room is ready..by then the bags are upstairs, we go up and change for dinner.

OR if you get there late afternoon and don't have tickets until the next day...leave your bags, catch the shuttle to the wilderness lodge area and ask where the movies are...it's a night activity outdoor movies with campfires and songs (this is FREE) the only thing you might want to buy is marshmellows for the fire, or snacks for the movies..this goes until late at night..someplace on the campgrounds..it's wonderful family entertainment if you have 'nothing' to do that first night except to wait to go to the park the next day.
-have fun
