Check in time,Magical express, best loop?

Hello!
How late can you check in for Fort wilderness? Do they have check in after 12 am? How late does magical express run from the airport? Will they take your luggage to your campsite or do you have to lug it there yourself? What time is check out? If I took a later flight in the day would there be somewhere at FW where I could store my stuff while I go to the parks? Also another question: What loop is the best? Can i request a loop? I will bring a tent.

Wow, lots of questions; I try to answer

How late can you check in for Fort wilderness? Do they have check in after 12 am?
The reception outpost is open 24 hours a day. Check in time is 1PM, so if you pay for that day it really dosn't matter when you arrive after then. The only issue you may encounter is that they might have an issue with you trying to set up a tent after quiet hours begin.

How late does magical express run from the airport? Will they take your luggage to your campsite or do you have to lug it there yourself?
As i understand it they deliver the luggage to the "hotel" check in area. For FW that would be the reception outpost. For folks flying in and staying in cabins the FW staff is happy to run you and your luggage over on a golf cart so i can't see why they wouldn't do the same for a campsite.


What time is check out? If I took a later flight in the day would there be somewhere at FW where I could store my stuff while I go to the parks?
Check out is 11:00AM. They should be able to hold your luggage at the reception outpost until it is time for you to leave. Again, they should be able to pick you up in a golf cart to bring your stuff back up front. You can just call from the house phone at the nearest comfort station.


What loop is the best? Can i request a loop? I will bring a tent.
You can ask that a lop request be added to your reservation, but nothing is guaranteed other than they will have a site of the type you reserved. In a tent most people reserve a partial hook up site (partial = water/electric; no sewer or cable) "Best" is a very subjective issue. Assuming that you are on a partial site you olny have two loops to choose from.
1500 Loop is smaller but close to the meadows area
2000 Loop is larger but farter away from the action which makes it a little quieter.

I have checked into Ft. Wilderness as late as 2am and set up my gear. (I tent camp also) Just try to be respectful of your neighbors and don't have lot's of bright lights.

How late does magical express run from the airport?
Magical Express will run for every flight that MCO has.

Will they take your luggage to your campsite or do you have to lug it there yourself?
They will take you and your luggage to your campsite in a van.

What time is check out? If I took a later flight in the day would there be somewhere at FW where I could store my stuff while I go to the parks? Checkout is at 11am. As the previous poster said, just go to the comfort station in your loop and use the house phone, and someone will pick you up in a van to take you to the Outpost. There they will store your bags until Magical Express is ready to take you back to the airport.

My favorite loop for tent camping is Loop 1500. Very centrally located and since it is small no one site is too far from the comfort station.
