The check in time at the ASM Resort is at 3pm...Can I check in ANYTIME AFTER 3pm? The reason I am asking is that we live about 10 hrs away and we don't want to have to leave at 5 am or earlier to get there on time!! I know I will be so excited and will not sleep any the night before but I want my girls to get a decent nights sleep before the long trip..

Yes, anytime after. Some people think the earlier you get there the better chance you get room requests met. I think most rooms are assigned by the time you check in. If you have problems with your room when you get to it, you might have more to choose from for changes provided the resort isn't packed.

You can even check in before 3, its just that your room may not be available. You can leave your luggage with the luggage check desk, and then go to the parks or swim or whatever, then return later on that evening to get your luggage.

Yes, we checked in at ASmovies at 11:30 pm no problem.

We have a 10 hr drive as well!! On our last trip (March 2001) - we stayed at WL and actually left home at 3 pm and drove straight through. We had planned on stopping for the night around Jacksonville, but it was Bike week in Daytona and all 1-95 hotels from Jacksonville down were full. I was shocked!! So we arrived at WL around 2 am and asked was there anyway we could check in early or if there was a room available for the rest of the night. The CM that helped us was great - also there was hardly anyone around, but he said that our room was already assigned and that he could let us into it - but not give us a key - room was not occupied. We would have to come down first thing in the morning and check in for real (and not tell them we were already in the room). Which is what we did. It was great!!! The kids got to sleep in a little and all unpacking was done and we could start the day like we had checked in the day before. I know we were lucky and it was not a real crowded time of year. I wished I had remembered to get his name and thank him but at 2:00 am I was not thinking straight and just needed sleep!!!

Thanks , that is a big relief!!! I was so scared we were gonna have to leave before sun up!!

I am in TN now, but I used to live in Myrtle Beach, SC and I know how that bike week thing goes. Every hotel in the town was booked and the traffic went on for MILES...What used to take me 20 minutes to get to work took me over 1 1/2 hours during bike week...IT WAS INSANE!!
