check in procedure

I will be driving to DW Aug 17th to 23rd to take advantage of the free dining.(after that we will be staying at BLT and AKV) My daughter and I will be driving down and arriving on the 17th ...my husband and other daughter will be flying down and joining us on the 18th....will I be able to check in the whole group on the 17th or do they need to physically be there?? I will be paying for all four of us of course for the entire length, I know we cant split the group and I dont want to separate the reservation as we would lose free dining for the 1st day as you need a 3 day minimum.
