HI, had some questions:

We arrive by plane at 10:05, we have the Magical Express pick-up, can someone explain how this works? First time going in 22 years. .

I know check-in is at 3:00 but was wondering if we'd be able to check in earlier? If not what can we do to wait? We don't plan on going to a park until later that afternoon, we arrive on Nov 10 and I think MK had extra hours that evening so we'll probably be going there.

If you use the Magical Express, you will not need to worry about your luggage, they will get it to your Hotel room. When you get off the plane, you will head to the Magical Express area on the lower level, from there you will board the bus and head to POP. The whole process usually takes about 60-90 minutes. We stayed at POP October 17-23 and had a great time. Your room may be ready when you get there, ours was and we got there about 12:30 PM. They have a food court, shopping area, game area, pool, etc... You will have plenty to do if your room is not ready. It usually takes 2-3 hours to get your luggage, so pack accordingly. Have a great time ...

I have a different question. My daughter and family are flying in and we are driving. If she arrives first, can she check in for all of us? We want connecting rooms, do we all have to be there? We have dinner ressies on the dining plan, for 8, how much before 8 should we allow? 3hours? 4?

Guatemom - you can check in as soon as you get to Pop Century. If your room is ready, great. If not, you can head to the parks or do whatever you want. You will be given a phone number to call back and get your room number. You will not have to go back to the front desk as they issue your room keys when you check in. When the room is ready, the keys are activated (you do not have to be there for that to happen - it's Disney magic). After you get your room number, just go back to the room and call down for your bags.

California Screamin - for a room only reservation, you don't all have to be there for check in. However, I think everyone does have to be there since you are on the dining plan. Others with experience in that can help you. For your dinner reservation, you didn't say which resort you are at or where your dinner reservation is. If you are taking a bus to a park for your dinner, always allow an hour. If you are taking Disney transportation from your resort to another resort, that's more difficult and allow yourself even more time to make the switch. If you are driving to your reservation, you won't need more than an hour unless it's in a park and then you will need more time to enter and then walk back to the restaurant.

only if she is listed as a guest on BOTH rooms.

otherwise she can only check into the one - she is listed for.

as your dinning plan - depends where are you eating? if at the parks - allow an hour

if at another resort - well she has a car right - so she can drive everyone if necessary? otherwise allow at least 2 hours.

the DME bus stops in front of the Pop - where the check in is located.

You can check in early as stated - and you just might be lucky and have your room ready.

if not - and you really intend to go to the extra hours - don't do alot.

go over to the lounge area (they have a lounge) - eat slowly at the food court. - maybe look over the gift shop (it is as cute as the hotel).

now if you have a ton of energy - then go around the resort and look at all the Icons and signs - bet you remember a bunch of them!

if you still have engery - then go over to DD on their buses. It has changed big time!!!

We are staying at the Pop Century, and our reservations are for Whispering Canyon Cafe. I was concerned about getting checked in and getting my dining "tickets" before we had to leave to get to the Wilderness Lodge. That's why I was hoping my daughter could check us in.
