Check in parking?

We are staying at the BWI for 4 days, in May, before we embark on the Disney Fantasy. My question is about "check in parking". We stayed at one of the value resorts last year and when we pulled up to the main entrance, we were told if we were not going to have them take our bags to the room or valet park, we had to park in the "check in parking" area and then drive around to our room. Does the BWI make you do this as well? I was hoping to avoid that since this is a deluxe resort. Thanks!

Not that I am aware of, you can just park in the regular lot. You could ask a valet if you could pull over to side for a few minutes while you check if your room is ready, maybe leave one of your party with the car. They may allow you if it's not busy.

I think you will be allowed to pull up to the lobby or at least pull off to the side. I know we did for Saratoga Springs but this was first thing in the morning and it wasn't busy yet. We will be going to BWV in early March so I can let you know. I know that the parking lots for BWI and BWV are further away from the main building than at the value resorts and I don't recall seeing a check-in parking area.

The BWI parking lot is right in front of the convention center. Typically they won't let you park at the front entrance even for a short time because they are already so swamped with ME buses, taxis, limos, cars dropping people, valet, etc. Normally my DH will drop me at the front, I'll go on inside and line up for check-in while he parks the car over in the lot. After we check-in we just walk back to our car to put our parking pass in the window.

You won't be able to leave your car unless someone stays in the car. You can ask Bell Services to unload and take your stuff to your room or you can unload and have one of your party stay with the stuff while you go park or you can park and haul your stuff to your room. There is no check in parking at the BW and you won't be driving around to your room.
