Check in opens tonight - how does it work?

I have my check in window opening tonight. With the new process, how does it work? I've heard about uploading a photo. Does this have to be completed before or after I make my Port Adventure and Palo ressies? Do you get to pick port arrival time? When is that done in the process? This may be the last time my adult kids can both go with us and I'd like to make this as special as possible. I don't want to be fumbling with the website. We all know web design isn't Disney's strong point.

You can book onboard activities now. Has nothing to do with online checkin. This is based on castaway status, not online checkin.

You need a headshot of everyone and a pic of your passports. You fill out info on everyone in your cabin, including uploading all the pics. I just used my iPhone for the pics and for uploading and it was easy. Then you fill out the credit card info, the info on your plans after the cruise. Then you pick your PAT time.

Very easy. I will tell you that when you upload the photos, they do not show on the website. I wasn’t sure if they uploaded, so I kept doing it over and over. I then noticed it said selfie in the upload area. Just assume your pics uploaded and move on. Disney will contact you if they need additional pics.

I thought check in and onboard activities were the same time. As Platinum, it is 120 days out.

Due to the pandemic it has been changed. Online check in is 30 days for everyone. Activity booking is still in advance based on castaway status.

Safe passage was 33 days, it has since been changed to 15 days.
