Thanks. I'm really hoping we can go some time when the holiday lights are up at DL. I know my Mom would really love that. We went with them a few years ago to WDW at that time of year and we really enjoyed ourselves. I think DL would be really neat during that time of year! I can't wait to read everyone's planning details too. This is all just so exciting!!!

The first time we went after having kids was at Christmastime. It was so beautiful. There were tons of decorated trees, the lights were everywhere, and it snowed from the castle at night (my daughter's first snow!). I couldn't believe how huge the ornaments were on the Main Street tree.

So, are we thinking that some people get notified by email and others by regular mail? I'm a little confused, and worried now I still haven't received anything from Disney yet about my hotel choices and travel dates and such, and I chose WDW.

I think WDW people were notified by email, and DL people were notified by mail, except for me, because I got the WDW email erroneously, and then he sent my info to DL. Did you email Ventura to ask them about your info?

I got the email officially congratulating me and saying they received the signed materials via Fedex on Thursday along with the letter asking me to make a park selection. I haven't yet responded on my selection because I wanted to talk over the DL idea with my parents since I wanted them to go with my husband and I. We live on the east coast so we get to go to WDW more often than DL and my parents have never visited DL.

This all seems like some crazy wonderful dream!

I emailed my contact at Ventura to ask a question about the trip rules on Thursday after she told me she got the signed fedex materials. I was worried because I couldn't remember how soon I had to make a decision and the wording on the rules was a little odd when it explained the hotel accommodations for DL and I wanted to confirm if we chose DL that we'd stay at a resort on property. She hasn't gotten back to me except to say she'd inquire but after reading posts on here I feel much better that yes you get to stay in one of the 3 DL resorts.

When I was initially contacted by phone, I was in Disneyland on a special Valentine's vacation that my husband and I had planned for a long time. It was really wild getting the phone call while in the park! She had to email me the materials to sign and I had to go to the Business Center at the Grand Californian to get them to help me print the materials, get it notarized, and sent by fedex. I don't know what I would have done if they would not have been so helpful.

Really wish DL would respond by email too instead of regular mail. I'm not sure if I have the patience to wait for the mail.

Hi,

I thought I would join the DISboards after being a reader of the boards for a while. I was informed by phone that I had won the Disney One More Day Sweepstakes for the February 7th drawing (I think that was the date). I was entering by text. I actually heard while I was on a special Valentine's Disney trip! It was so crazy!!!

I think we are choosing DL and I want to bring my parents since they have never been to DL. I was reading the wording for the DL trip rules and I was worried because it almost sounded like they might not put you up in an on property resort. However, I thought that seemed like it would be really strange since it is a Disney contest. Thank goodness after reading everyone's posts to find out that they do put you in one of the 3 DL resorts for your trip.

I'm so excited! I'm not good at waiting since I am a planner. I'm sure I'll go crazy until I hear from DL to start planning my trip.

Yeah I did email them, they had just said that they did receive my WDW choice email and forwarded the information to the sponsor, but that the contest isn't over yet and it can take 6-8 weeks for trip information processing and such. So, basically I just need to patient lol. It's still a little concerning though since most people here that chose WDW have gotten the additional information.

Maybe one of the WDW choosers will email the contact for you to ask what's going on with your paperwork. It seems odd that people who won after you have heard, and you haven't. I wouldn't take it too personally though. Maybe I got your paperwork .

And after you check your mail, you need to change your ticker. It's saying it'll be another year to your next Disney weekend. Somebody needs to design a OMDD ticker. I'm pretty good with Photoshop, perhaps I will google how to make a ticker, then share with the other 59 trip winners.
