Hmm...

We haven't gotten an email or a letter yet, so I'm only going off of what's been mentioned in previous posts.

As I've mentioned before, I would be happy wherever they put us up. But how odd that the people that picked WDW were given hotel options and the DL'ers aren't. I wonder if it's because there are more hotels in WDW that occupancy isn't a problem where it might be at DL?

That being said, do you think any of us that went with DL will get to stay in the Grand Californian? (It's the most costly of the on-site hotels, right?)

I promised myself I wouldn't get antsy waiting for info - heck, we don't even want to go until the end of the year! But I have to admit, it's a promise that getting increasingly more difficult to keep!

I hope we get GC! I love that arts & crafts style. And yes, it's the higher end hotel of the 3, although, really, any of the 3 Disney hotels has got to be better than the Fairfield...

I was wondering how they informed you if you were a winner. I just browsed through here and found out it was through emails. Sure hope I didn't delete an email that may have ended up in my spam. Would be just my luck.

It depends on how you have been entering. The winners who texted received a phone call on their cell phones, followed by a text, if they didn't answer the phone for the call.

Those of us who entered online have varied results too. Some, like me, got an email that ended up in junk, asking to confirm our home addresses. Others just got a FedEx with the affidavit.

Yeah, there was a post like that, quite some time ago. And another with questions like, did you know FedEx was coming, or did they just appear.

I don't know where the post is that you are asking about, but I think this thread was on page 100 when I finally posted, so it's probably somewhere between pg 100 and 150.

I was informed by phone that I had won the Disney One More Day Sweepstakes for the February 7th drawing (I think that was the date). I was entering by text. I actually heard while I was on a special Valentine's Disney trip! It was so crazy!!!

I think we are choosing DL and I want to bring my parents since they have never been to DL. I was reading the wording for the DL trip rules and I was worried because it almost sounded like they might not put you up in an on property resort. However, I thought that seemed like it would be really strange since it is a Disney contest. Thank goodness after reading everyone's posts to find out that they do put you in one of the 3 DL resorts for your trip.

I'm so excited! I'm not good at waiting since I am a planner. I'm sure I'll go crazy until I hear from DL to start planning my trip.

Congratulations Jen. That is so kind of you to take your parents to Disneyland. Welcome to the club! Can't wait to hear more of your trip details as you start your planning! I am just the same, it has been killing me not to have all the details so I can start planning. Although I already have my spreadsheet complete with the dates I hope to travel. Yes I bet the decorations would be cool at Disneyland. I have heard they do something with the Nightmare Before Christmas at the Haunted Mansion. I would love to see that!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I were thinking of planning our first DL trip this year, and we wanted to be there for the holidays as well. If they start the holiday decor the same week as last year, then everything should be decorated starting November 12 through the first week of January.

Congrats to you too! That's good to hear about the decoration dates. I think we're looking at going in early December. I'm just hoping we can find a week that works for my husband and I plus my parents plus Disney during the holiday season. I know my Mom would really love it if we could stay at Grand Californian but all 3 of the resorts are so neat, I'd be happy with any of the 3.

I can't wait to see the Haunted Mansion decorated and I just hope that they are not doing any refurbishments on Indy or Pirates when we go because I really want to ride those too.

So, are we thinking that some people get notified by email and others by regular mail? I'm a little confused, and worried now I still haven't received anything from Disney yet about my hotel choices and travel dates and such, and I chose WDW.
