What way have the winners been entering? I'm doing the text but still haven't win my whole family does the text everyday so we have 3 votes that's why I was wondering how they were entering so I could do it that way

Add me to the crazy ones getting really hopeful whenever I see a FedEx truck...even streets away ( I think maybe thy are headed to my house). Winning a contest like this right now would be amazing!!!! I am so excited for those from Dis that have already won. It is fun to hear about your plans & I can't wait until you get more concrete, specific info from Disney. If I can't plan my own trip then I'd like to live vicariously through all the winners here.

Do all the winners find out on Wednesdays? Is there any reason to be hopeful for tomorrow?

We got our email on a Tuesday.

We haven't received anything from Disney yet, but we did get the official "you are a winner" email from VA after they received the affidavit. My husband's name is now on the site as a 'Sweepstakes Winner.'

Just an FYI for the new winners waiting to see their name - even though DH's name was pulled in the first week, it didn't show on the banner until the 19th.

About an hour and a half after they received my affidavit at Ventura, they sent me an e-mail verifying me as an official winner. That was last Friday afternoon, and my name still isn't on the website. I'm hoping we'll hear from Disney soon. If they make us wait until all the winners are chosen I might just go crazy! LOL!

I found out last Thursday. There doesn't seem to be a specific day that they notify people and if they have your address, they don't seem to call or e-mail first. A Fedex package showed up at my door and I had no idea what it was until I opened it.

I won a trip during the Year of a Million Dreams, which we extended by 3 days. We weren't able to extend or upgrade the park tickets in any way, as they were promo tickets. What we decided to do, since we didn't pay for the majority of the trip anyway, was to buy 10-day tickets, add the no expire option and use what was left over for a future trip. They also gave us a discounted price for the extra days we stayed over the free ones (in case you have use for that info )

Since I was one of the first ones that one I'll give you an update/timeline so far

Jan 3rd is the date I won (on the bottom of my letter)

Jan 9th I got the Fedex letter

Jan 10th - it arrived back to them

Jan 13th - my name appeared on the site

Jan 20th - I got an official email saying I was a grand prize winner and DIsney would contact me next...no word on if it would be by phone or by snail mail, email, or what - so I am still waiting

Actually , statistically, DISers are winning 33% of the trips-so far

21 trips have been given away and 7 is one third of that amount!!

For the ones who have won trips to Disney in the past...

when you extended your stay past the the days you have won, how does Disney charge you for the extended park tickets?

for example
lets say you, win the current give away and want to extend it by 2 days. Do you have to pay full price for the tickets or the difference between the package deal of 5 days and a seven day ticket price???

Since they are comp tickets with no value, you have to buy new ones.
