Our trip in November is pieced together with 2 nights on pts, then one night on points and then 2 nights cash thru MS all at BCV. Will we have to check in 3 times and can we do online check in? I requested that the reservations be linked. I've never had a stay like this. It started out as all cash as I was waiting for some great discounts that never came!

I did that once. A DVC friend & I stayed at OKW. I booked Thursday night, she booked Friday night (separate reservation), then I booked Saturday & Sunday (separate reservation). The reservations were linked and we checked in once, our keys were for the entire stay. Those were all points bu I have done cash/points stays and it was the same. Don't know about online check-in. I would do it in person to make sure all is in order.

If you booked your cash reservations with DVC member services you should be fine. However, if you booked he cash reservations with the CRO you may have a problem. Earlier this year we had 1 night on cash, 5 nights on points and 1 more night on cash. When we arrived we were advised that we would have to change rooms twice. I couldnt do anything about moving the 2nd night, but I did manage to change the cash ressie for the last night to points.

Have a great vacation.

We booked a similar scenario on our trip this past May. We had the first night on points, then the 2nd and 3rd night on cash (CRO w/AP discount) and the last night on points.

They key to minimizing a room change mid-stay is to ensure that all of your reservations are the same room type.

I faxed a request to the resort (BWV) about 5 days prior to our arrival. The request included all three of my reservation numbers. All I asked for was the possibility of not having to change rooms mid-stay. Since all three of my reservations were for a 1-bedroom preferred view, BWV was able to accomondate our request. It worked out great!
