Yep! I would not count on the free 50mb sufficing either. You’ll need to buy at least a small package.

Are you planning on doing DCL excursions or making Palo/Remy/cabana reservations? If not, there's no real need to checkin on your "official" day - you can wait until you get home.

I thought access to Disney websites was free anyway? Did that change?


OP - I think your biggest challenge will be whether the Internet is working well enough/fast enough to do online check-in.

I don’t know. I have never tried to look at Disney sites while on a Disney Cruise.

The DCL site is free to use when connected to the ship WiFi, but you shouldn’t log in or it will eat your data. Instead, click on Community Zone and it will take you to a page where you can access the DCL site without using your data. It’s pretty slow loading, though.

During our previous Disney cruisew we were able to browse the Disney sites FOR FREE when connected to the DCL Wi-FI [but not signed in to the paid WI-FI]. So you may want to quickly try that before your checkin window opens to make sure that is still the case.

That's what travel agents are for.

You can use the community zone to access dcl reservation system. Its very slow but at least you don't
have to use up your paid internet minutes.
