Check in at Pop

We will be arriving at Pop Aug 28 after driving from Kansas City. We expect to get there around 2-3pm. What is the actual check-in time? From other posts, it looks like you can get there early and leave your bags? If we do that will our meal plan already start? We were wanting to go ahead and go to MK. This is our first trip to WDW. Any one know how this works?

OKay I believe the actual check-in is 3 or 4 (I think 4 for value). you can go ahead and check in whenever you arrive. You never know your room might be ready.If it is not then you can check your bags. Once you check in you will get your room card which should have your passes and your meal plan on it.you will beable to use them right away! Have a Magical Trip

Last year I arrived at the POP, at 11:00 am and got a room right away!!!!

We checked in last month at 12 and our room was avaialable right away. But i beleive the official check in time is really 3 or 4.

We got there at 11:30 over Memorial weekend and we were able to check-in and get into our room.

We were the the last week of May 2005 and got our room at 10:30 am!!! If our room wasn't ready, they would have still given us our keys (with tickets loaded ) and held our luggage until the room was ready.

Enjoy! I am jealous, I want to go back...soon!!!!

If you do have to check your luggage, be prepared for a wait. They have the most unorganized & inefficient luggage check area that I have ever seen.

We checked in about 10:30 to pop and dropped our luggage immediately with bell services. The thing I loved about Pop is that even though our room wasn't ready, when I called the number they gave me later I was able to get our room number and our luggage was waiting there for us! We didn't have to call down and request it like at other resorts. I believe I called 1-2 pm from MGM and our room was ready.

We were there last month, chdecked in @ 11am and our room was ready. Checkin line was about 15 mins long. Went to the room and changed and our luggage " magically" appeared before we even left for the parks.

According to my ressie, check-in is at 3:00pm. I am heading down there this Friday and I am getting more excited everyday. You would think this is my first trip but it's not by any stretch. But we have planned this trip more carefully than any other that we have been on and I believe it is going to help us enjoy it alot more.

I have stayed at POP three times, and all three times have arrived earlier than the posted check in time, and all three times got a room right away!

When I was there May 13th-May 22nd, I spent two nights at POP, then transferred over to BWV for five nights, then back to POP for the last two nights. When I checked in about noon on the 13th my room was ready, so I carried my carry-on bag up to the room and then left for the parks, room key in hand. When I returned that night my DME luggage was waiting in the room for me.

When I checked back in seven days later around 8:30am my room was not ready, but they gave me my room key and a number to call later to get my room number. When I arrived back that night, my bags were again in my room waiting for me. They told me when I checked in that I had room charging priviledges if I wanted it, even though my room number was not officially assigned at that time. The same thing should apply for MYW dining priviledges.
