Check for TIW & DDP People in a Reservation

If we (TIW) have a dinner reservation with another party on DDP, can they put it all on one check, and add the tip portion of the DDP people on our ticket? Or do they prefer to do two checks?

They will do separate checks for the DDP people and the TiW people. Since TiW has a gratuity automatically added, I can't see any way they would put the DDP people's non-mandatory tip on the TiW bill. Not sure I see what the point would be anyway.
