Hello all!

As a notoriously cheap individual, who longs for excellent deals on my Feb 3 five day trip to Orlando, my questions are thus:

Does it pay to buy tickets before coming to Florida? Universal has a buy an adult and get a child's ticket free for five days which I'm thinking of getting (We have 5 adults and three children) and I was thinking of buying it in advance, but was wondering if I should wait until I get to Florida to see if I could get a better deal.

I am staying in a three bedroom at Orange Lake which, from what I read here, seems like a great place to go. As far as where to stay on their property, I have no idea as to what to ask for when I get there. Any ideas? Also, they told me about the timeshare tour, but didn't say I had to go. Is there any reason to go besides a free breakfast/lunch?

People who I know who have stayed at Orange Lake have mentioned a little souvenir stand outside the compound that sells theme park tickets with some days left on them. Is this a terrible thing to consider? Anyone ever do this? It would be great if I could get in a day at Disney too, but I don't think I could afford both. (I also want to take a trip to the Kennedy SPace Center so I will feel better about taking my kids out of school.

some times the ticket hawkers are honest - lots of time they are not - it is hard to tell on us/ioa or the old wdw tickets - if there were days left or not.

you would have to trust the seller. So only do this with money you can afford to lose.

the new WDW cannot be transfer - they will have the person who originally brought finger scan and I think their name. Now if the tickets have not been used - that is one thing - but WDW is trying to stop the market in reselling guests older tickets. Why because when there is something wrong WDW gets the blame - even when the tickets states "notranferable must be used by the same person on any and all days"

the us/ioa 5 days for the price of 2 is a good deal and can only be brought over the internet.

This is an amazing deal, I highly doubt you would get better.

Your only there 5 days, do you really want to waste a whole morning or afternoon listening to timeshare?

I personally wouldn't buy from a hawker or on ebay...you never know what your going to get. If you want 2-day WDW hoppers, you can still buy them (off and on, they keep selling out) at http://www.discountorlandovacation.com

unless you're looking at the flextickets, which you can save some money buying online, you're not going to find a better deal than the buy 1 get 1 offered on UO's website right now.there are a couple of multiday/park tickets sold only at the gate at UO, but they're not as good as the present offer. buy them now, and you'll pick them up at one of the e-ticket kiosks outside the parks.
