In 2003 we went during a fall promo, they gave us 8 day hoppers, CSR, including water parks, 2 adults, 1 child for the price of a 4 day package so it was like 1100.00 for all
$45 per night - Fiji - Poly (1974) will never see that again! Most recent AKL $109 (2002) standard room ; $167 CR upgraded to lake view tower room (2006)
I paid $49 per night at All Star Music 3-4 years ago on the Annual Passholder's rate.
What I paid years ago has no refelction on what you'll pay now. If you're looking for a good deal I would keep tabs on the threads on this beard. All the great deals come through here .
$1000.00 for a family of 2 adults and one child. It included our hotel at the Walt Disney Swan for 7 days and our airfare from Colorado. Found it on Hotwire.com in Sept. 20002 for a trip in June 2003. What a great deal for a four star hotel and airfare. The beds were heaven!!! We looked for our upcoming trip to stay at the WDWS again and it was going to cost us $1500 just for 7 days at the hotel and no air.
My cheapest trip was the one where we had frequent flyer miles to cover our air, DVC points to cover our accomodations, and previously purchased AP's to cover park admission...I know my logic is scewed, but in my mind -- that trip was free!!!
$36/night at ASM last year, May 29th-June 4th. It was the Priceline "special" rate that a bunch of people on these boards got last year around this time.
The year prior to that, we had a postcard rate for POR for $79/night, and we ended up getting moved to a 1-bedroom villa at Saratoga Springs for the same rate due to crib unavailability at POR and another room issue there.
Back in November 2003 I paid $1160.92 total for the Yacht Club for 7 nights, which breaks down to about $165 a night including tax. This was because we had originally booked POFQ when it went down for renovations and were offered an upgrade to the YC for only $30 more a night!!! On top of that, when we checked into the YC, we were upgraded to a waterview room!
We stayed at the Ft. Wilderness Campground in 1975 for $12/night. We've also stayed at ASM for $49/night. Lowest price for a moderate was $74/night at POR and lowest for deluxe was $124 for Savannah view (AP standard view rate with free upgrade) at AKL in 2003.
Oh oh, I almost forgot -- the year we stayed at the Contempory when they were remodeling SOG...if I'm remembering correctly, I think it was about $85/night.
This year will be the cheapest with $49.00 nightly or 775.00 for 14 nights at All Star Movies. This is with 40% off email and over Christmas and New Years!
We got an Orbitz package that included flight for 4 from Philly, 7 nights at Wilderness Lodge and parkhopper and waterpark tickets for $2,400.
That was in Aug. 2004. My DH found this trip 30 days after we returned from our Disneymoon. We booked it and took DD's 13, 15.
The cheapest Value I've ever stayed at was Pop, $49 (staying 3 nights) a night rate for AP's in Dec 04. It was a very cheap trip, in fact. For room, one way rental car, MVMCP ticket, one character meal, and a few other meals I spent less than $200 for the whole trip (not including airfare). Of course, it makes it cheaper when your splitting expenses with someone else. The cheapest moderate I've had was CSR April 04 $74, general public code if I remember right.
My best value vacation was in 2003 when we took advantage of the stay for 7 pay for 4 nights deal. We stayed at the GF sugarloaf concierge, and it will never be matched pricewise again! Been there done that with the concierge though...too much food and I like to do my own planning. In 2004 we got 7 for 5 at YC, year after that (gulp) rack rate, last year free dining (yay), this year AAA discount.
this is almost a valid answer. not quite a disney resort, but we stayed at what was then the courtyard by marriott downtown disney 3 weeks after 9/11 for $25 a night. the hotel was almost empty. i remember going up to universal and walking through the amity section on the way to jaws and not passing a soul.
