So my aunt and grandmother both have the flu, and a lot of other issues that make it very difficult to care for each other. The church family is bending over backwards to look out for them but the have their own lives and jobs too.

I'm think next week would be the best because it'll be right between major assignments being due. It would only be for 5 or 6 days

When my son was in the Army we had to fly him home quickly due to family illness. I checked airlines directly and then went to expedia booked him a package under last minutes deals and even though we did not use the room or car that came with the package the flight was cheaper than just booking the flight through the airlines so go check sites like that and see if they have any last minute deals you can use. Never hurts to check right?

I would try priceline name your own price, look at prices on Kayak (which should compare all the airlines) and look at Hotwire.com

Thanks!
