Cheapest ts in disney you have had? was is good? tell me about it! tia!

Plaza restaurant in MK is pretty cheap as they only offer sandwiches but drinks are $2.65 each and the water is "Disney water" (ie my kids usually drink water with meals but they requested soda here).

Les Chefs de France for lunch: my recommendation is to order the 3 course menu and have 2 people share it. One person have the soup and the other one have the entree (or share both) Split the dessert. The portions are very large; we all ordered the 3 courses and it was way too much food (unless you want to skip dinner). We liked this meal very much, but you have to like cheese.

Same with Le Cellier for lunch: split a 3 course menu between 2 people: cheddar cheese soup, burger, and dessert. It was way too much food for 1 person. The burgers here were excellent, as was the soup and creme brulee dessert. They also give you bread with your meal. None of us could finish our meals (and I had 2 teen boys with me).

It is a toss up between the Plaza and Tonys. THey are both pretty inexpensive and very yummy.

We have been to alot of TS places for lunch and they are not that costly either. Unless you do what we did and go to Kona and have a few cocktails with lunch, that will jack the bill up pretty fast :lmao:

Without sharing, about the cheapest thing you can do is order an appetizer instead of an entree, and drink water (meaning tap water, not bottled). Some may think that isn't enough food though.

The individual pizza at Via Napoli is $16-18. I can eat half of one. The other half becomes lunch the next day, so two meals for the price of one. This is kind of like sharing though.

Crystal Palace breakfast...cheap, good service, good food, good characters, and if you get a pre-park opening slot- you can get all of those pics at the castle with an empty park.

I love Chefs de France. Plenty of food for DH and I to share. The toasted Ham and Cheese and 3 levels tall and filling enough for 2 people, along with the onion soup and the cream brulee. Yum!

I'll say Tusker House or Crystal Palace Breakfast Buffet. Our family love hot breakfast and good size portion. We only have 3 in our family, DS being 7 still child so it's fairly cheap for food/ before park opening entrance/ character experience.

We only go WDW during off peak times like Sept, right after Thanksgiving, and Jan/Feb so lines are not that bad for anything. But we noticed that character breakfast gives DS no desire to line up for characters during park tours.

Another thing for liking those are DS could eat adult food. DS has more of adult palate (loves sushi, steak, good pasta, salad - hates mac&cheese, pizza, chicken nuggets) for food so he's not happy with usual DDP children's choices. So it's win-win situation for us.

Plaza in mk. Try resort ts for lunch - such as kona, grand Floridian cafe, whispering canyon. Go on the later side. We also like biergarten for one of the last lunch seatings. To save even more, some cs meals are great - at mk try eating upstairs at Columbia harbor house.

I think lunch at the Sci-fi Dine in is reasonable especially if you stick with the burger or sandwich. Another plus is the great atmosphere:thumbsup2

I disagree about Crystal Palace being cheap for breakfast. It may be good but it is NOT cheap for breakfast..The breakfast buffet is $26.99 pp for peak times (not 100% sure but I think). I don't think spending 27 bucks per adult for breakfast is cheap by any stretch.

That being said if you want to do character buffets do it for breakfast because is the cheaper option.

I agree with Sci Fi. That is pretty low cost for lunch and I think the lunch and dinner options and prices are about the same.

Also, Boma breakfast is relatively inexpensive and it was very good. It is $17.99 per person which is the cheapest breakfast buffet.

I also agree about Grand Floridian Cafe. They have really tiny desserts too that are only $3-4 per person.

I also have to agree with the PP that the breakfast buffets such as Crystal Palace are NOT cheap. Just because it's breakfast does not mean it's cheap; spending $20-plus per person is a lot! The cheapest TS we've eaten at, by far, was The Plaza. It's a sandwich shop, and not much more money than eating at a decent CS place. Another one that we haven't tried yet but I don't think would break the bank is 50's Prime Time, particularly at lunch.

I have to agree on the Plaza Restaurant. We've always used that as a backup. Easy to get an ADR, no one seems to know it is there. The food is good, quick and inexpensive.

Thank you guys so much! I am going in july for a "spur of the moment " trip. We are trying to keep cost down since it wasnt really a planned ahead trip. But we are going to miss our dining plan so in place of it I wanted to go to some of the cheaper TS. Eating is half of our disney trip so we want to indulge a bit! Keep em comming Im taking notes for sure!!!

50 Prime Time for lunch was not too bad for price.

For any table service - do lunch to keep cost down.

50's PT is on my to disney do list so Im excited to try this one for a lunch!

Kona breakfast won't break the bank... I think our bill was under 25 bucks, for two of us. That's more than I would spend on breakfast at home, but it was our cheapest table service.

The Plaza came to mind immediately, and I see several other posters made a similar recommendation. I also suggest Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club for a relatively inexpensive table-service meal. Both places I mentioned offer menus akin to glorified counter service, but they still will allow you to sit in an air-conditioned restaurant for a spell and be waited on. (And, coincidentally, both restaurants have killer ice cream desserts!)

Boma's breakfast is no longer that price it is now $24.49 for adults and $13.84for kids (prices from allears), so definitely not cheap for a family of 4 esp if your kids are over 9.

I can't believe no one mentioned Trails End Buffet....it's at FW and it's around $16 per person for dinner. If you take the boat from MK it's a very short walk along the path to get there.
