I've seen lots of transportation threads on getting to Disney from Paris for a day or two. We'll be staying at the Cheyenne for 5 days and heading into Paris (or surrounding areas) almost daily using the RER from the Marne La Vallee.

I know there is the Paris Visite Ticket, but most say that it is overpriced. I've also read about buying packs (or carnets) of tickets. Can those be used on the RER to get us to and from Disney/Paris as well as on the metro?

The only transport that won't be covered will be our ride from CDG to Disney. We've got a private car (from prestige) reserved or may save some $$ and take the TVG to Disney.

We'd just like convenience (don't want to stare at ticket machines everyday) and ease of use.

From which day of the week to which day of the week are you talking about first ?

Then I'll tell you what the possibilities are ;)

Arriving April 28 and departing April 2. The days we are concerned with are April 28 (Thursday) to the 1st (Monday), as we depart early on the 2nd.

Shame as the cheapest option had you been starting on the Monday or Tuesday won't work for you ...

Are any of you under 26 as there are good deals for the Sat/Sun ?

Party of two, both 43.

I have no idea what deals you are talking about! :confused3:rotfl2:

You will have to spell it out, here in Texas we have pretty much nonexistent mass transit.

Your cheapest option then will be carnets.

If you had been under 26 there is a special weekend ticket offering unlimited travel for a few euros.

If you had been there Mon - Fri there is a weekly travel card which offers a great reduction.

But you're not and you aren't so it's carnets :thumbsup2

If you buy at the MLV station (right at the Disney gates) a carnet of 10 Origine Destination MLV - Paris which can be used in both directions it will cost you 58.40€.

I'm presuming that you are only going into Paris and back again once a day as it's a 80 - 100 minutes round trip depending on where you get on and off and how long you wait between trains.

Don't forget that with that Origine Destination ticket you are covered from when you enter at DLP and exit the metro in Paris vice versa so no need to use a ticket from your regular Paris carnet that day.

As you will also need at least one regular Paris zone1-2 carnet and maybe a 2nd one depending on how much you are going to rely on public transport verus walking above ground.

A carnet for Paris is now 13.30€

Hth and if you have any questions just shout :goodvibes
