Cheapest route for childcare?

I am determined to take my DH to PI this trip. I was sort of planning on my cousin to watch the kids one evening but now she is moving up here so that plan is out. So which would be my cheapest plan for childcare for an evening? I was thinking about a kids club cause the kids would have fun, but then I realized that it would probably be more beneficial to everyone if we got an in room service so the kids could sleep. The kids will be barely 6 and almost 11 and I am thinking we would probably leave around 830-9 and return by midnight. So looking at cost, what would make the most sense for us?

Let's do the math! Let's start with 4 hours (you need at least 1 hour R/T transportation from childcare to PI and back and 3 hours at PI. Any less and you might not relax enough, LOL)

Kids club = $10/child x 2 children x 4 hours = $80

Kids Nite Out in room service = $16.50 for 2 children/hour x 4 hours + $10 transport fee = $76 + tip

They look about the same, LOL! With in -room you would have the peace of mind that they are already 'home' and could go to bed and not be disturbed until morning. Plus if you ran a little late you could extend the time with a phone call (kids clubs close at midnight). The kids club would have the pluses of other kids to play with and new stuff to play with but would have to factor in additional transport time to/from the club.

Considering that you would not be going out until later in the evening, I'd probably opt to use one of the in room babysitting services like FG or KNO. Like PP said, cost is about the same.

I think a private room sitter works best. Kids clubs close at midnight, so you'd need to leave probably 40 minutes in advance, leaving you not much time at PI.

With a private sitter, you can take as long as you'd like.
