Can you tell me what is the cheapest rate you ever got for a car .. I am needing one for 6 days.. as you know its not a necessary thing.. but it would be nice to have while we are there... just curious how cheap I could actually get the rate down too.. did you use priceline?

I got a compact for $112 through Dollar once for 7days.

I have another one not much more for our June tri[p.

These are both from Dollar direct using a local FL conventions code.

I also did a 4 day Enterprise standard for under $70 but that was a crazy code and a weekend special rate.

I just booked a economy car for 6 days for $121 w/ taxes it ended up being $157.00 thru Budget.com
Use code BCD # X443025

try mousesavers.com.She usually has all the rates listed in one spot, so if one does not work keep trying until you find one that does

What percentage can one expect to get off with the various codes, on average? I always see people post what the final price is that they get with the codes, but I have nothing to compare it to for what it would have been without. (Sorry, never rented a car before, and we need to on our trip, lol). And are there blackout dates? Our trip will include President's Day/Daytona 500 weekend...

With no codes or discounts, I got a rate of $228.03, same car type, same dates for my ressie with National. Now I booked with Emerald Isle (so I'm guaranteed at least an intermediate, but more than likely will get an upgraded car/suv) for $149.88 with discount codes and coupon. That's a substantial savings, if you ask me.

The cheapest I ever got was last year. $106 for a mid-sized SUV for 7 days. Through Alamo using the Walmart discount code.

This year, the rates are higher. I am paying $142 for 8 days with an Intermediate. That is through National, using the Entertainment book code and the $40 coupon for Emerald club members.

We leave in 9 days!!!!!

Rates fluctuate drastically.. If you can pick up your vehicle on or before May 20th Try this one:

Alamo
id code: 430710 (walmart)
E-coupon: ad2051mmd ($40 off suv or minivan)

Got a mid size suv for 7 days (really 8 with the extra hours) for $140 including taxes.
