Travelling w tween/teen kids for 4 full days and 2 half days in march.
we are planning 3 day at Disney and 2 days at universal. Debating if we should just buy a 4day Disney pass for the half day or spend at the hotel. It's the Waldorf and supposed to be nice.

Where should I buy th tix and which rides to fast Pass? I can advance buy them.

Thx

Not to thread jack, but a bit of a spinoff question.

We're heading down at the end of June. I'll admit full ignorance in that before I found this website, we had no idea that you could buy tickets anywhere other than WDW website or ticket gate. Last time I bought anything was June 2015 when we converted 10 day tickets to AP. So this will be new to me.

Our plan is to get AP again, with park hop and water park options as we love to do both. Knowing what I know now, I'll buy a ticket from one of the above retailers and upgrade at the park. But here's my question, hoping you may be able to help save me a ton of research if you happen to know the answer. What's going to be the best "value" when buying from UT or PS? Knowing that I'm converting to AP, will I get the most savings by purchasing a 10 day ticket with hop/water options from them, or a 1 day ticket with no options, etc...? Basically, is there a particular type of ticket that offers the biggest discount over gate price?

Nothing matters "in general" as sale prices change all the time.
You just need to look at the BIGGEST SAVINGS at the time you order your tickets.

So, for example, if a (say) 5-day ticket saves more $$ compared to Disney prices than an 8-day ticket, buy the 5-day.

@Klayfish ~ comparison shop to see if anyone is offering the Buy 4, Get 3 days free tickets.

Those who do the upgrade that you describe receive the best savings at upgrade time.

Thanks, makes sense. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't a certain type of ticket that usually had the steepest discounts. Since I'm going AP, I just want to get anything that will get us into the park on day 1 and give me the biggest bang for the buck.

Also remember that if you use your AP this year, you could go again on vacation next year and use it again (as long as you go before it expires). Then you get two years out of it!

That's exactly the plan, and what we did last time. Our plan for this year is....17 days this summer, 5 days at fall break, 7 days Thanksgiving, 10 days Christmas, 17 days next summer.
